Carrots, 2 pounds (small carrots work too) that have been peeled and chopped
1/3 cup of chopped butter
quarter cup of maple syrup
1 and 1/4 cups of brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon of salt
0.5 teaspoons of cinnamon powder
Instructions:
1. Cook the carrots in a slow cooker.
2. In a another basin, mix together the maple syrup, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, salt.
3. Once the slow cooker is filled, pour the mixture over the carrots.
Stir the carrots so they are equally coated. Finish with a sprinkle of sliced butter.
5. Once the carrots are soft, cover and simmer for 5-6 hours on LOW heat (or 3 hours on high). While cooking, stir occasionally if necessary.
Expert Tip: In the final half an hour of cooking, increase the heat to high to thicken the glaze.
As an appetizing side dish, serve the glazed carrots hot. Have fun!
