Ideal For the Holiday Season One of my favorite dishes to cook when cranberries are in season is this mouthwatering sweet bread, which combines sweet oranges with somewhat sour cranberries. On a holiday table, this dish is always welcome; it also makes a terrific recipe for Thanksgiving and Christmas sweets.

Make use of those seasonal cranberries. Only for a brief period of time are cranberries found in supermarkets! To have this great bread all year long, freeze extras fresh and in season.

Sweet Glaze Creates More Of A Treat. The sweet glaze really makes this bread seem very unique and is bursting with orange taste.

1/2 cups plus one tablespoon all-purpose flour, split

Two tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp kosher salt

One cup regular whole-milk yogurt

1 cup of sugar

Three great eggs

Two tablespoons grated orange zest; one-half teaspoon pure vanilla essence

One half a cup vegetable oil

One half cup fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed, washed

For the orange syrup:

One third cup freshly squeezed orange juice

One three-fourth cup sugar

Regarding the Orange Glaze:

Two to three tablespoons fresh orange juice, sieved one cup confectioners’ sugar
